Before You Ship a Firearm – Read This First

If you are purchasing a firearm online or through an auction site, please review these steps before arranging shipment to Redridge Arms. Following these steps helps ensure your transfer proceeds smoothly and without delays.

Step 1 – Contact Redridge Arms First

Before your seller ships the firearm, please contact us to confirm that we can receive the shipment and provide any required information to the seller.

This helps prevent delays caused by incorrect shipping information or unexpected deliveries.

When contacting us, please include:

• seller name & FFL or website
• firearm make and model (or link to listing)
• your name and phone number

We will confirm shipment instructions and answer any questions.

Step 2 – Provide the Seller with Our FFL Information

Many sellers require a copy of the receiving dealer’s Federal Firearms License (FFL) before shipping.

Once you contact us, we can provide our FFL information directly to the seller if required.

Please ask your seller not to ship the firearm until we confirm receipt instructions.

Step 3 – Use Your Full Name on the Order

When placing your order with an online retailer or auction site, ensure that your name and contact information match the information you will use for the transfer.

This helps us properly identify the incoming shipment and contact you once it arrives.

Step 4 – Wait for Arrival Confirmation

Once the firearm arrives at Redridge Arms, it will be logged and securely stored.

We will contact you to schedule your intake appointment and begin the required transfer process.

Please do not schedule an appointment until we confirm the firearm has arrived.

Step 5 – Bring Proper Identification

At your appointment you will need:

• valid government-issued photo identification
• current Washington residency information

Additional documentation may be required depending on the firearm and transfer type.

Important Notes

Redridge Arms cannot control background check timelines or waiting periods required by federal or Washington State law.

Transfer fees cover administrative handling and compliance processing and apply once the firearm has been received.

Customers are responsible for ensuring firearms are shipped legally and in compliance with federal and state requirements.

Questions Before You Buy?
